If philosophy had stayed with this being a shower gel it would be a solid five stars. As a shower gel and bubble bath four, possibly talked into a five. But as a three in one it's a disaster.
Let's start with the scent. Delicious! The Ginger Berry Frost just makes me want to wallow and slather and sniff and walk around demanding other people sniff me because I just smell so darn good. This is the scent you want to wake up to in the morning (other than coffee and bacon of course, let's not go overboard) and fall asleep to at night. It's luscious and really delivers the ginger, the berry, and I can even smell the frost, that sort of snappy wintery day smell that is brisk and fresh. so far so good
As a shower gel Philosophy shines. I put some of the sparkly purple-red gel on my scrubbie and it lathers up beautifully, rinses off easily, leaving my skin feeling soft without the after grease residue some shower gels leave. With some gels I feel I need to shower with something else to get the residue off but Philosophy leaves me feeling soft but not greasy. 5+ stars, if only they had stopped here but...
As a bubble bath. The bubbles are nice in the beginning, if a little anemic. They don't last long and I like to soak in the tub with a good book or nice daydream or just let my brain go blank. Sadly the bubbles dissipate within 10 minutes or so. However, I had to give up regular bubble baths because of itching in certain places, the chemicals were too harsh (TMI, I know, but there it is) and at least I can get some bubbles and because of the rinsibility and gentleness of Philosophy I don't have issues afterwards. 3-4 stars. If they had just stopped here but no...
as a shampoo Philosophy 3in1 is a disaster. Talk about damaged, dry, flyaway hair! I'm surprised the TSA didn't show up at my door demanding to know why my hair was flying all over the world without proper documentation! Like Icarus, Philosophy strove for the sun and landed in a melted frizzy heap of failure. Unless you have super uber oily hair and that turpentine/gasoline mixture is no longer stripping the grease I would not use this as a shampoo. total failure with one being the star rating only because they won't let me go lower.
