I wish that the description mentioned that this product is not one piece. The head of the brush does come off from the handle. I generally do not like these kind of brushes, because I have experienced the heads of brushes coming off numerous times while in use. Thankfully this has not happened yet, but I make sure that the handle is shoved completely in at all times when using it in the shower.
Another reason I do not like the separate handle and head is because that is just another step added in maintenance. After each shower I disassemble and wipe dry the insert for the handle and the slot on the head to avoid mold, and then reassemble when I want to use it in the shower. Not a huge inconvenience, but one I would have rather avoided or at least known about before my purchase.
After four showers with this brush, one of the bristle bunches that make up the brush fell out. I am waiting to see if anymore will follow...
I love harder brushes for a good scrub, and would consider this a hard brush. I use this brush for dry brushing once in a while.
